Absolutely! Site migrations is a process we have down cold. Our 3 – step method could not be any easier: Step 1; Buy a plan that meets your needs and budget. Step 2; We’ll migrate your existing site to its new home. Step 3; Change your current domains DNS records to point to your new hosting server. We’ll provide you with DNS record details. All that is left to do is wait for your DNS records to propagate across the internet.

Depending on your domain registrar, this could take from between 30 minutes to 2 days. Your current website will continue to work on your old web server until then. In our experience, we usually see migrations completed inside of 2 hours. In the meantime, create your email accounts and have a cup of Jo.

Firstly, Ohio Valley Hosts is a Managed WordPress only hosting platform. Hosting packages range from 1 to 24 CPUs  and 1 to 96 GB RAM. Band width tops off at 350 TB.

We have High Frequency hardware and Standard server hardware plans. Every plan we offer is for a single WordPress installation, which includes:

To be clear, we do not offer shared hosting or hosting accounts where you can create more than one (1) website – One hosting account, One WordPress installation; 2 hosting accounts – 2 WordPress installations…

The Only exception to this rule is a WordPress Multisite, which we offer with a recommended server configuration: 

6 CPUs, 16GB RAM, 320 GB SSD, 200 TG Bandwidth.

Yes, we offer a discount on annual hosting plans. However, we do not require annual or multi year payment plans at this time. We realize that some customers prefer to pay for hosting monthly for budgeting or other reasons. Another reason we offer monthly payment plans is so you never feel locked in. Pay your month to month and leave whenever you want, all paid up and not over-billed. 

We don’t do 30 day gaurantee gimmicks, so after 30 days, if you decide that your hosting service is underperforming, you are stuck with an inferior service, or walk away from a plan that you have paid for. In some cases, multiple years worth of payments.

We do a lot if migrations into our hosting platform for customers who are in this very situation. 

Unfortunately, you can not. OV Hosts is a WordPress Only hosting platform. Although we are capable of hosting many, if not any application or service that can live online, supporting such a vast array of applications goes far outside our scope of service. We specialize in what we know and do so well, which is hosting and supporting WordPress installations – only. Our infrastructure is highly tuned to this platform and our staff are expert in WordPress administration and support. If this is your case, we apologize for any inconvenience. However, whatever your processing needs are, it is a rare occasion that WordPress can not fit the bill. One of the main reasons that WordPress is a popular choice among developers is much of the framework is already done; core components, database connectivity and security are built in at the outset.

Pricing is based on many factors. Some are fixed costs and some are market driven. Our support is a 24 hour operation. We include these costs of operations into our overall pricing plan. Oddly, yes and no. Follow me on this one. All hosting plans* come with up-to 10 email accounts. You may assign them in any way you choose. Primarily for correspondence and transactional emails from the WordPress system. There are hard limits on the amount of emails sent and the frequency in which you send them, based on the plan you chose. The standard plan has a limit of 150 emails in a 24 hour period and the Corporate plan has a limit of 1,200emails in a 24 hour period. Now why is this? The answer is quit simple, Ohio Valley Hosting is not in the mailing business. We offer / provide emailing services as a courtesy to our clients – you.

What we provide is more than adequate to manage a WordPress installation. Many client will have mailing needs that far exceed these limits and we encourage them to use a dedicated email service. See our Features page for more details.
